Artist's Description
I've never seen a painting of a just a campfire before, so I thought I should make one. I grew up camping and made plenty as a kid, but this one is also somewhat inspired by generic video game campfires. June 2017.

I moved to San Diego in 1997 and fell into North Park's "Ray at Night" art community for a few years. I ran a volunteer art program from 2003 - 2010, directing and participating in a variety of arts and performances. In 2014 I was accepted into the Spanish Village Art Community in San Diego's Balboa Park, where I currently exhibit. The beauty and majesty of nature can be breathtaking. Most of my images are from real places, either somewhere I have been or perhaps saw in a photo. Some images may be a combination of things from the real world, but there's always at least a little...
